Delchevo, 15 October 2025 (MIA) – At a campaign rally in Delchevo on Wednesday evening, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski urged the citizens to show up at the polls on October 19 and back the party’s candidate for mayor, Ivan Gocevski.
In his address at the rally, Mickoski spoke about SDSM and the actions of its leader Venko Filipche.
“I want to draw attention to a paradox unfolding as we observe our rivals’ campaign. I hear Venko saying the country is facing a tsunami, going from bad to worse. That the home and family are endangered, people are leaving the country, that there are dishonest games – but that the judges are professionals. Inflation is galloping, and who knows what else. Where were they a year and a half ago? They, together with DUI, were in power for seven years. We didn’t start with the windows, the facade, or the roof of our home. We started from the foundations. They changed the name, the Constitution, brought double-digit inflation, profited from tenders, even made profit from vaccines. They promised to bring Facebook and Google, but the only investment was in marijuana factories,” Mickoski said.
Mickoski said the opposition leader’s speeches when he was in government and now in the opposition are completely different.
“Venko in government and Venko in opposition are 180 degrees apart, or is it Venko versus Venko now. The issue is that they think that with such appearances they can keep singing the same tune, and they assume that people have short memories, but that’s not the case,” Mickoski said.
