Skopje, 14 September 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Sunday that domestic and foreign power centers are responsible for the fires that have impacted the country, as per information from the state services.

"These things will happen, they will not stop. Citizens should be aware that such diversions will happen in the coming period as well, because there are power centers in the country and abroad who want this Government to fail. We will fight. They will continue to undermine and we will continue to work, and eventually we'll win," PM Mickoski told reporters in Trubarevo, where a fire broke out yesterday in an electronic waste warehouse.

Mickoski added that what is happening now and what happened over the summer would continue, "because someone has an interest in this to continue, but they will be defeated".

Asked if the waste management company met the requirements set in its license, the PM said the 10-year license is valid until 2031.

"You can see the other waste treatment companies in this perimeter and the conditions they work in. The same goes for the entire country. If you ask me, these are not proper operating conditions. That is why these physical and hybrid attacks target these weak links and will continue to do so," said Mickoski.
