Skopje, 28 July 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski told reporters on Monday that an analysis of core inflation is in its final phase and the Government will soon come out with measures against soaring prices. He said he also expects this to be discussed at the Economic and Social Council, noting that it is to hold a session soon.  

Commenting on last week's statement by Economy Minister Besar Durmishi, the PM said perhaps it has been misunderstood, adding that there currently are no measures in place because the analysis is ongoing, but measures will be implemented once it is completed. 

"Perhaps it is misunderstood. There are currently no measures because the analysis is ongoing. When the analysis is completed, of course there will be measures in place. I believe the analysis is already in its final phase and we will come out with concrete measures. We have indicators as to why this is happening, so I expect that we will come out with measures very soon," Mickoski said in response to reporters' questions after Monday's opening event for an indoor swimming pool at the Nevena Georgieva - Dunja elementary school in Kisela Voda Municipality. 

He pointed out that inflation is high in many European countries, amounting to over five percent.
