Skopje, 12 October 2021 (MIA) – VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski, speaking Tuesday at a party campaign rally in the capital Skopje, called on party members and supporters, as well as the ‘silent majority’ of citizens, the disappointed ones, the ones who boycott the elections, the ones who haven’t voted so far, the members of all ethnic communities to go to the polls on Sunday, for the October 17 local elections, and vote for the candidates of the VMRO-DPMNE coalition in the municipalities and for the independent candidate for Skopje mayor Danela Arsovska. “These local elections are crucial for the direction in which the country will be heading. These are elections where by your choice you send a message to the government. Your vote is a message to those who have run the country for 52 months now,” said Mickoski. He stressed that he was addressing the Macedonians, the Albanians, Turks, the Roma, the Vlachs, Serbs, Bosniaks, the men and the women, pointing out that it depends on them whether “we will create a new future, or continue to go backwards, with false hope, division, and apathy.” According to him, the loudest voice in these elections is the voice of the ‘silent majority’ – the people whose voice cannot be heard in the media, in public. “The voice of the silent majority which brings victory to hope and common happiness. Go to the polls on October 17 and support the creation of a new future. It’s time for your voice to be heard, it’s time for Macedonia,” Mickoski said. At Tuesday’s rally in Skopje, the VMRO-DPMNE leader called for support for the independent candidate for Skopje mayor Danela Arsovska and for the opposition party coalition’s list of councilors headed by Trajko Slaveski.
