Skopje - Wildfires are still burning in Delchevo, Pehchevo, Sveti Nikole, Shtip, Prilep, Kumanovo, Valandovo, and Radovish. The Gostivar fire has reignited, as well, while the Saraj fire near the villages of Raovikj and Bukovikj has been put under control, according to the Crisis Management Center.
Skopje – Government members are on annual leave between August 3-12. The Government is operating on a daily basis and ministers are holding video-conference sessions to take the necessary decisions considering the forest fires in the country.
Skopje – Work is underway for transport of kerosene. The intention is to transport it to the Shtip-based army barracks on Friday, thus keep it at safe and make it possible for the Serbian helicopters with smaller tanks to refuel more efficiently, Crisis Management Center (CMC) head Stojanche Angelov said Friday.
Skopje – Skopje firefighters intervened on Thursday in 22 fire incidents in the capital. Most cases involved burning grass, while one of the bigger ones was the fire at the OHIS plant. All fires have been extinguished, the City of Skopje said in a press release on Friday.
Skopje – Out of 416,614 people fully jabbed against COVID-19, a total of 167 got infected with the virus 14 days after receiving the second vaccine dose and only 11 of them were hospitalized, the Ministry of Health said in a press release on Friday.

Beirut/Tel Aviv – At least 15 rockets were fired at Israeli posts in Shebaa Farms from south Lebanon on Friday, in the latest cross-border attack from the area, a Lebanese security source said.
