Marichikj-Telatin: UNOPS continues to provide project support to reform agenda
Skopje, 23 February 2022 (MIA) – Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj met Wednesday with Michela Telatin, Head of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Office in North Macedonia, discussing the excellent cooperation within the support to the country’s European progress.
Marichikj and Telatin referred to accomplished and expected results of project activities, which have contributed to improved access to employment through registration of startups, training of unemployed persons and support to municipal infrastructure projects, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release.
The project supporting the Government reform agenda in the accession process is ongoing, including activities aimed at strengthening the Secretariat’s capacities regarding the National Programme for Adoption of the Acquis (NPAA), the training centre, translation of European legislation etc.
Interlocutors also reviewed opportunities for extension of the support in 2023, for the purpose of planning future activities and enhancement of the European reform process, reads the press release.
