Skopje, 14 June 2022 (MIA) – Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj during his two-day official visit to Brussels met Tuesday with the EU enlargement commissioner Oliver Várhelyi and discussed Skopje-Sofia dialogue, the European perspective of the Western Balkans and consequences of the war in Ukraine.
"It is of vital importance for all to preserve stability in the region and to orient towards even more intensive cooperation between the candidate countries and the European Union," Deputy PM Marichikj, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release.
"The support and commitment of the French EU presidency to reach an agreement and unblock our European integration process is strong," Marichikj noted.
Ten days before the European Council meeting and the EU-Western Balkans leaders' meeting, Marichikj said it was necessary to make maximum use of time to reach a European solution between North Macedonia and Bulgaria, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release.
