Skopje, 13 February 2022 (MIA) – A peaceful march is set to take place in Skopje on Sunday to raise public awareness of the many problems commonly faced by single parents and single-parent families. “The reason for organizing this march is the major issues and demands of our members. We want to express and present the image of single parents and single-parent families to the entire Macedonian public and all stakeholders in the Macedonian society. The issue of single parents should not be a taboo. Not anymore,” said members of the non-profit organization One Can!. The organization stands for protection and advocacy of the interests and beliefs in promoting gender equality and women’s rights, with an emphasis on single parents and single-parent families. The march starts at the Woman Warrior Park in downtown Skopje at 1 pm, and will end at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
