Brussels, 24 June 2022 (MIA) – French President Emmanuel Macron has welcomed the vote in the Bulgarian parliament over the French proposal and said the process is continuing, MIA reports from Brussels. “I would like to welcome the vote in the Bulgarian parliament that opens the path for lifting the veto and opening the accession negotiations of North Macedonia and that helps Albania as well,” President Macron told a press conference on Friday. He added that exchange of opinions with counterpart in Bulgaria and North Macedonia would continue in the coming days. “This is a very good signal and I would like to congratulate the Bulgarian Prime Minister and the opposition for joining forces around this vote, but also congratulate North Macedonia for its progress,” said Macron while adding “there is one thing left”.
