Skopje, 30 May 2024 (MIA) — The newly founded informal association Zborci, made up of Macedonian language scholars and writers, is organizing an event titled "Word Formation" at the Francophonie Park at 8 pm.

The event will include a conversation with state university's Blazhe Koneski Faculty of Philology dean and poet Vladimir Martinovski and Macedonian linguists Vesna Mojsova-Chepishevska and Tatjana B. Eftimovska, who is one of the association's founders.

"At this event, we will try to find out what is actually possible with words. We will talk about the evolution of language and whether this is a privilege belonging to any groups or if it is a process we can all take part in. 

"Will our children speak Macedonian as we know it, or should we adapt our language to the new generations? How can we preserve the authenticity of our language while also opening it up to new ideas and influences?", organizers said in a press release. mr/
