Macedonian passport 31st in global rankings
Skopje, 4 October 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia’s passport is ranked 31st at Arton Capital’s Global Passport Power Rank, compiled according to the number of countries they can be used for travel. The list ranks 193 countries and six territories, with the North Macedonia passport eligible for travel in 108 countries, 66 of which visa-free. The United Arab Emirates passport tops the list with access given in 152 countries, 98 of which visa-free, 54-visa on arrival and 46-required visa. New Zealand is second on the list with a mobility score of 146, while third place is shared by Germany, Finland, Austria, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Australia and South Korea (144). Fourth place is shared by Sweden, The Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Portugal and Ireland (143), while fifth by France, Malta, Czech Republic, Greece, Poland, Hungary, Great Britain, Canada and the United States (142). In regional terms, Greece is best-ranked in 5th place, ahead of Slovenia in 6th, Croatia (9th), Romania and Bulgaria (10th), and Serbia (29th). North Macedonia is followed by Montenegro (37th), Bosnia-Herzegovina (38th), Albania (39th) and Kosovo (81st). Afghanistan is on the bottom of the list (93rd) with only four countries providing visa-free travel, while 166 others require visas.
