Skopje, 31 July 2021 (MIA) — This year's Prespaland multimedia festival will screen Macedonian films ahead of Ilinden, or Republic Day, and host free outdoor concerts of Macedonian music stars on the date of the major national holiday, Aug. 2. According to festival organizers, Aleksandar Popovski’s “Balkan is Not Dead” (2013) will be shown at the Oteshevo Monument at 8 pm, followed by a screening of Vardan Tozija’s “Amok” (2016) at 10 pm. On Monday, Aug. 2, Macedonian world music band Ljubojna will give a concert at the Resen amphitheater. Slatkaristika will follow with an acoustic performance. Admission is free. mr/
