Skopje, 15 July 2024 (MIA) – The Chief of the Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, is paying an official visit to the Turkish Armed Forces.

During the visit to the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces and the Defense Ministry in Ankara, General Gjurchinovski is due to meet with the Chief of the Turkish General Staff, General Metin Gürak and Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, said the General Staff.

The army delegation as part of its visit to Turkey will visit commands and units of the Turkish Armed Forces, including the special operations command of the Armed Forces, where prospects for training of Special Forces will be discussed, said the press release. 

The defense cooperation with the Turkish Armed Forces, being the country’s strategic partner, takes place in several fields and is notably emphasized in training, military education, joint participation in peace missions and operations, equipment, etc.
