Laurence Boone to bring a message of friendship and support for the European perspective of North Macedonia
Paris, 15 November 2022 (MIA) - During the visit to Albania and North Macedonia, the French State Secretary of the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Laurence Boone will bring a message of friendship and support for the European perspective, the MIA correspondent reported.
Laurence Boone, responsible for Europe in the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, will visit Albania and North Macedonia from November 14 to 16, Quai D'Orsay confirmed in an official press release.
“This visit is the result of the achievements of France during its presidency of the Council of the European Union, with the aim of opening the accession negotiations with Albania and North Macedonia,” it is emphasized in the announcement from official Paris.
During the visit, the Secretary of State will convey a message of friendship and support for the European perspective of each of these two countries, highlighting the steps to be taken. She will also discuss the cooperation projects that are likely to be developed, including within the European political community, so that Albania and North Macedonia can reap the concrete benefits of the efforts they have made.
While in Skopje, Laurence Boone will meet with the President of the country, the Prime Minister, as well as several MPs and parliamentarians from the National European Integration Council of North Macedonia.
Exchanges with representatives of civil society, especially young people, as well as think tanks for deepening the dialogue around historical, cultural and social issues are also planned. dk/sk/
