Skopje, 15 July 2024 (MIA) — Current Lake Dojran water temperature is 32°C and the water temperatures of Lake Prespa and Lake Ohrid have reached 29°C and 26.5°C respectively, according to the latest measurements by the National Hydrometeorological Service.

According to weather service data, the heat wave is expected to last at least until Friday, with the nationwide orange heatwave alert still in place as long as temperatures remain above 30°C across the country and above 40°C in places.

The forecast for Friday and the weekend calls for local torrential rain, thunder and heavy wind, which will lead to temperatures gradually dropping. mr/
