Kunsthalle Wien to exhibit works from Museum of Contemporary Art collection

Skopje, 7 March 2023 (MIA) — Paintings by Nikola Martinoski, Dimitar Avramovski Pandilov, Dushan Perchinkov, Tomo Vladimirski, and Dimo Todorovski will be put on display at Kunsthalle Wien art gallery in Vienna, Austria, after the government greenlighted Thursday a proposal from the Ministry of Culture to exhibit 94 works from the collection of Skopje’s Museum of Contemporary Art.

In addition to works by the founders of Macedonian painting, the exhibit will present pieces by international artists including Victor Vasarely, Pablo Picasso, and Alex Katz.

The audience will include art experts who will be given the chance to later curate their own exhibitions based on the museum’s collection, the government wrote in a press release.

According to the release, the exhibition will strengthen the museum’s ongoing cooperation with the curatorial collective What, How & for Whom (WHW), who direct Kunsthalle Wien.

This, the release adds, can expand cooperation with other potential partner art institutions at the bilateral and multilateral level. mr/
