Skopje, 22 May 2023 (MIA) — Ahead of the launch of 'Krushevo, 2023 City of Culture' series of events that start on May 26, Minister of Culture Bisera Kostadinovska Stojchevska and Krushevo Mayor Tome Hristoski will give a press conference at Krushevo's Makedonium monument to announce this year's cultural programming.

Announcing "a year of cultural fusion in Krushevo," organizers say this year's City of Culture events will be held under the motto "Krushevo – a Living Monument of Culture."

On May 26, Krushevo's Martinoski Gallery will host an event dedicated to renowned Macedonian painter Nikola Martinoski, who was born in Krushevo.

Later in the day, at the Makedonium monument, the Bitola Chamber Orchestra will give a concert featuring more than a dozen Macedonian pop singers performing evergreen songs. mr/
