Kovachevski to meet Mickoski over French proposal

Skopje, 3 July 2022 (MIA) – Prime Minister and SDSM leader Dimitar Kovachevski will hold Sunday a meeting with VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski over the French proposal for removal of Bulgaria’s veto to the opening of North Macedonia’s EU accession negotiations.
As part of the broad consultations that began immediately after the European proposal was received, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski will meet VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski on Sunday. The meeting is part of the series of consultative meetings with opposition leaders, the Government said in a press release.
It adds that PM Kovachevski has already held consultative meetings with leaders of the Government coalition, diplomatic corps, civil society, experts and media.
The PM has said that any decision on the proposal will be made through dialogue and consultations, in the interest of the future of all citizens of North Macedonia, reads the press release.
As MIA has learned, the Kovachevski-Mickoski meeting will take place in the MPs Club at 3 p.m.
