Prilep, 14 May 2022 (MIA) – The Parliament continues its work despite opposition boycott. The agenda of the plenary session has been adopted, and the debate on the election of constitutional judges has begun, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski said Saturday. Responding to journalists' questions after visiting the general hospital in Prilep, Kovachevski reiterated that it is unserious to boycott the Parliament in times of the world's largest energy crisis and urged the MPs to act responsibly. “Every political party should act responsibly and do their utmost for laws to be adopted that will facilitate the everyday life of people,” Kovachevski said. As for the fact that the opposition is the one that blocks important laws for citizens, Kovachevski pointed to the example of the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources, which is chaired by an opposition MP, has not put on the agenda the law in which a technical change should be made in order for the tobacco growers to be paid the subsidies.
