Skopje, 1 June 2023 (MIA) – German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the Summit of the European Political Community in Chisinau, Moldova, reaffirmed Germany’s strong support for North Macedonia’s integration within the EU and the upcoming steps, wrote Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski in a Facebook post Thursday.

“We spoke about accelerating the Euro-integration processes, which are important for the security and stability of the region. This is the best response that we can get and a historic opportunity that should be used,” wrote Kovachevski on Facebook.

The PM also said he had a pleasant conversation with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel.

“We affirmed our positions regarding North Macedonia’s Euro-integration process. The strong support of our international partners who recognize the progress of the country is important. Our future is in the EU, there is no other alternative, our citizens deserve a European future and a better living standard,” wrote Kovachevski.
