Kovachevski: Determined for a secure and European future in 2023

Skopje, 30 December 2022 (MIA) – The country will continue to make progress and accomplish its goals in 2023, says Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski in his New Year’s greetings.

“I can say with certainty that the next year will be better. Salaries and pensions will continue to rise, big projects important for the country have been completed and now we are moving on with new investments that improve people’s lives. Because we are not leaving anyone behind and no one will be left alone,” says PM Kovachevski.

He referred to the outgoing year, where the focus was placed on management of the pandemic consequences, the economic and energy crises, but also the Euro-integration process.

“We had to make difficult decisions for our European future. For me personally, this was the biggest challenge of my life, maybe the most difficult one, because I carried the responsibility for my people, for each and every citizen, for your future, for our future. We ensured that every home is warm during the winter and there is enough food on the table during the holidays. Let me thank the people who work tirelessly during these days for our health, safety and peace. Happy New Year and Merry Christmas!” says Kovachevski.
