Kovachevski: Cooperation with Turkish companies strong; favorable business climate for investors

Skopje, 13 July 2023 (MIA) — Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski met Thursday in Istanbul representatives of the Turkish business community and investors in our country.
According to an official press release, North Macedonia's Ambassador in Ankara Jovan Manasievski also attended the meeting along with North Macedonia's general consul based in Istanbul Aktan Ago, the honorary consul Eser Cevahir, and the head of the Business Council between North Macedonia and Turkey and honorary consul based in Izmir Bilal Kara.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Kovachevski stressed that North Macedonia and Turkey have had traditionally good friendly relations that contribute to strong relations between the two countries, fostering bilateral and economic cooperation.
That Turkey is in the top ten trade partners of North Macedonia was highlighted at the meeting and welcomed by both sides as an incentive for further strengthening economic ties, the release says.
Kovachevski said Turkish investments were some of the most significant and largest in the country, creating jobs and directly affecting the growth of the domestic economy.
He also spoke about the ways the government has created a favorable business climate, resulting in more companies investing in North Macedonia. mr/
