Skopje, 4 June 2023 (MIA) – The meeting between Prime Minister and SDSM leader Dimitar Kovachevski, and VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski is expected to be held on Wednesday. According to MIA’s information, the talks will most likely take place in the Members of Parliament Club.

There are still no information regarding the hour and format of the meeting. Kovachevski announced a meeting with teams from both sides, while Mickoski said on Friday he would prefer a face to face meeting, because, he said, based on his experience team meetings never lead to any conclusions.

The PM said the meeting would focus on the decisions necessary for the country’s European integration, while Mickoski believes the meeting should also discuss the steps after the constitutional amendments fail to receive the necessary support. VMRO-DPMNE is adamant they won’t vote for the amendments and that elections should be held in the fall.
