Kosovo declares day of mourning after Bulgaria bus accident
Pristina, 23 November 2021 (MIA) – Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani decided to declare Wednesday (Nov. 24) a day of mourning to pay tribute to the North Macedonia nationals, mainly ethnic Albanians, who died in a bus accident in Bulgaria.
At least 45 people, including 12 children, died when a bus caught on fire on a highway near Sofia in the early hours on Tuesday.
Seven passengers survived and were transferred to a Sofia hospital to be treated for their injuries. None is in a life-threatening condition.
Kosovo’s top officials expressed condolences to their counterparts in North Macedonia over the deadly bus accident.
