Kiev mayor: Russian attack on infrastructure site kills three workers
Kiev, 18 October 2022 (dpa/MIA) - Russian attacks killed three workers at critical infrastructure site in Kiev, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. The mayor of Ukraine's capital did not specify what had been hit, but power and water supplies in parts of Kiev had been disrupted by attacks earlier in the day. Other Ukrainian regions were also hit by shelling, airstrikes and kamikaze drones that explode upon hitting their target, including including Mykolaiv in the south and Kharkiv in the east. Russian forces intensified strikes against civilian targets such as power stations at the start of last wek. A spokesperson for the civil defence authority in Kiev said that more than 70 people have been killed and more than 240 injured nationwide since October 10. A total of more than 380 buildings have also been damaged, including around 240 residential buildings.
