Kiev/Moscow, 6 July 2025 (dpa/MIA) – Russia and Ukraine each launched well over 100 drones at each other's territory overnight, authorities on both sides reported on Sunday.
Russia launched 157 drones and 14 missiles, with strikes recording in 19 locations, the Ukrainian Air Force in Kiev reported.
The Russian Defence Ministry said that 120 Ukrainian drones had been destroyed or intercepted. Around a dozen regions were hit, with the strikes heaviest in the Bryansk and Kursk regions bordering Ukraine.
Fires and severe damage to buildings were reported in Kiev, with at least three people injured.
In the southern Ukrainian port city of Mykolaiv, Governor Vitalii Kim reported massive attacks by Shahed drones that damaged warehouses and the electricity grid. There were no injuries.
The Russian Defence Ministry made no report on damage or injuries, as is usual. Russian forces continued artillery attacks inside Ukraine.

Ukrainian authorities in the Donetsk region in the south-east, which is largely Russian-occupied, reported three deaths and seven people injured.
Earlier, Kiev regional Governor Mykola Kalashnyk reported that a "peaceful settlement" had been hit in the Vyshhorod district. A 35-year-old man had suffered shrapnel wounds to his back, arms and legs, while a 79-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man experienced "acute stress reactions," he said.
Two multi-storey buildings, garages and cars were also damaged. A warehouse was in flames and private houses and outbuildings were damaged, Kalashnyk said.
Several strikes were also reported in the eastern city of Kharkiv.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported explosions on Telegram. According to military Governor Oleh Synegubov, fires broke out in several districts of the city. A 46-year-old woman and a baby girl were injured.
