June industry turnover drops slightly: statistics

Skopje, 11 August 2023 (MIA) - Industry turnover in June dropped by 0.3 percent compared to the same month in 2022, said the State Statistical Office on Friday.

Total turnover by Main Industrial Groupings was higher in Non-durable consumer goods by 17.7%, but lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 12.4%, Capital goods by 1.3%  and Durable consumer goods by 6.2%.

The June industry turnover compared to the previous month decreased by 7 percent, while in period January-June it increased by 4.9 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

Industry turnover on the domestic market in June rose by 2.1 percent compared to the same month in 2022.

Industry turnover on the domestic market by Main Industrial Groupings was higher in Capital goods by 14.8%, and Non-durable consumer goods by 8.6%, but lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 4.4%  and Durable consumer goods by 16.2%.

Industry turnover on the domestic market increased by 3.8 percent compared to the previous month, while in period January-June it was up 1.5 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

Industry turnover on the non-domestic market in June dropped by 0.9 percent compared to the same month in 2022.

Industry turnover on the non-domestic market by Main Industrial Groupings was higher in Durable consumer goods by 5.5% and Non-durable consumer goods by 23.7%, but lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 15.7% and Capital goods by 1.0%.

Industry turnover on the non-domestic market decreased by 9.7 percent compared to the previous month, while in period January-June it increased by 5.9 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
