Jeffrey Sachs to MIA: U.S. faces shocking processed food epidemic, hopes RFK Jr. will succeed

Fast food in the U.S. is killing Americans. Highly processed foods, which form the basis of the fast food consumed by many Americans, especially children, are driving a shocking epidemic of metabolic disorders. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has pledged to address this problem. It won’t be easy. We’ll see - with careful attention and caution, Columbia University Professor Jeffrey Sachs told MIA, when asked whether Secretary Kennedy will be able to take on the pharmaceutical and food sectors of the so-called deep state in the U.S.

Globally known as an economist and political analyst, he served as an advisor to Mikhail Gorbachev, the last President of the USSR, and to Russian President Boris Yeltsin. He is associated with the infamous “shock therapy,” which, via a domino effect and the IMF, was adopted by other post-communist European nations, and which brought little benefit (including to our country, as it led to the closure of many industrial complexes and more than 140,000 new unemployed). However, on this matter, he presents a different truth in our conversation, claiming that his plan, primarily for Russia, was different, but was rejected by the U.S. government.

“Thirty-three years ago, I argued that Western financial aid (from the U.S. and the EU, then the European Community) was needed to help Russia stabilize its economy and embark on long-term reforms. My financial proposals were rejected by the U.S. government at that time, which had no interest in Russia’s stability. The U.S. was concerned with keeping Russia subordinate, unfortunately,” Sachs said.

Lately, he has drawn attention by claiming that SARS-CoV-2 was developed in a U.S. biological lab in North Carolina, not in Wuhan, following the abandonment by serious scientists of the theory that the virus originated naturally from bats and spread worldwide via the Wuhan market after a Chinese individual ate an infected bat.

“The sad reality is that COVID comes from the University of North Carolina, a top beta-coronavirus research institution working with the U.S. government on the odd idea of creating a vaccine for bats. I must admit that what I’m saying is 99% certain. They intended to release something into caves in Southeast Asia that bats would inhale, making them immune to new infections from these beta-coronaviruses. It sounds crazy, but it’s a grim truth,” he said in a recent statement.

However, at our insistence regarding Wuhan, the role of the EcoHealth Alliance, a group through which American funds were transferred to the Wuhan laboratory, and the involvement of the well-known Anthony Fauci, as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Sachs told us:

“The idea, crazy as it may sound, was to protect bats, not humans, from new coronaviruses, so that these bats would later not transmit the viruses to the human population, especially to U.S. troops operating in Asia,” he claims.

At our remark that Dr. Robert Malone, the inventor of mRNA technology, called the COVID situation and subsequent vaccines “the greatest experiment in human history on the human population” in an interview with Viktoria Kirilenko, Sachs briefly said:

“No, it wasn’t an experiment, but a catastrophic accident. Of course, we still need to uncover all the details, as much of the relevant evidence is still being withheld.”

We spoke with the professor, who has been an advisor to three UN Secretaries-General, Kofi Annan, Ban Ki-moon, and António Guterres, about the war in Ukraine and the role of the so-called deep state in the U.S. On this topic, he told us:

“Over three decades, former U.S. President Joe Biden promoted NATO’s expansion eastward. Yet, the war in Ukraine is a ‘deep state’ project that started in 2014, with Biden serving as a product of the military-industrial complex. He participated in the U.S.-supported coup in February 2014. Thus, Biden is deeply involved, but this is truly a long-term project of the deep state,” he said.

He adds that neither Russia nor China is a threat to the U.S. He asserts that China is certainly not an enemy, despite having a well-managed and highly competitive economy. The idea of slowing China’s economic growth is unachievable, and he claims that “it is the wrong goal,” which is why the U.S. “should mind its own business.”

If that is the case, if the U.S. should mind its own business, how does he assess the country’s economic situation in light of the $36 trillion debt? Sachs replied:

“With a budget deficit of roughly 7 percent of GDP and debt at about 100 percent of GDP, the U.S.’s credit capacity and economic strength are being undermined. Yet, there is no political will to tackle the escalating fiscal crisis,” he says.

He does not have a high opinion of the EU’s leadership or its role in the current political and economic situation in the world. To such an extent that his response to our question about how Brussels is handling the current complex situation in Europe and globally was almost with indifference.

“European leaders have no economic or geopolitical strategy. They are completely obsessed with Russia, based on mistaken fears. Brussels is missing the whole point of how to deal with Russia. Direct diplomacy with Russia needs to be opened,” Sachs told us, concluding by reiterating his view that peace in Ukraine is mainly possible through Ukraine’s neutrality.
