Skopje, 15 February 2024 (MIA) — Japanese playwright and actress Shoko Ito will perform two of her plays, "Dog and Cat" and "Barekendan", at the Faculty of Philology.

Shoko Ito is a playwright, actress, theater and film director, and founder of the Ito-Gumi theater company. She has a degree from the Faculty of Japanese Painting and Fine Arts, Tama Art University. 

She has performed theater plays in 80 countries over the past 35 years. Her best known works include "A Geisha Samurai," "Woman Nobunaga," "Samurai Grandma," and "Master Shoko and Margarita."

Boris Seewald's short film "Momentum" (2013), in which she plays the lead, has won numerous awards at international film festivals. mr/
