Interior Minister Toshkovski meets Slovenian Chargé d'Affaires Vishaj

Skopje, 4 September 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski met Wednesday with Slovenian Chargé d'Affaires Gjyle Vishaj and deputy director general of the Slovenian police Jože Senica.

Minister Toshkovski expressed gratitude for Slovenia's support in the European integration process, highlighting the traditionally excellent relations between the two countries and the cooperation between the two interior ministries. Particular emphasis was placed on Slovenia's assistance in dealing with the forest fires.

Interlocutors discussed the dynamics for the implementation of joint projects of the Macedonian and Slovenian police in the coming period, as well as the Ministry's priority objectives, such as the uncompromising fight against organized crime and corruption, effective implementation of a modern integrated border management system, fight against illegal migration as a joint issue, digitization of numerous processes at the ministry and other affairs, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release. ssh/ik/
