London, 17 February 2024 (PA Media/dpa/MIA) - Inter Milan thumped Salernitana 4-0 at San Siro to take a firm grip on the Serie A title race.

The Nerazzurri moved 10 points clear of closest challengers Juventus after recording an eighth-straight win in all competitions.

Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez – with his 20th Serie A goal in 22 games – put Inter ahead inside the opening 20 minutes.

Denzel Dumfries added another just before the break and Marko Arnautovic struck with the last kick of the game to continue Inter's 100 per cent start to 2024.

Torino kept in the race for a European spot with a 2-0 home win over Lecce.

Raoul Bellanova put Torino ahead just after half-time and Duvan Zapata sealed matters nine minutes from time after Lecce had lost Marin Pongracic to a second yellow card.
