Inflation up 4.5% in June: statistics

Skopje, 7 July 2025 (MIA) - The Consumer Price Index in June 2025, compared to June 2024, increased by 4.5%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 3.7%, the State Statistical Office said on Monday.
Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in June 2025, compared to May 2025, was 0.8%.
The increase of inflation in June 2025, compared to May 2025, is the result of the increase in the consumer prices in the following groups: Transport by 2.9%, Recreation and culture, Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 1.1%, Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.9%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance by 0.8%, Restaurants and hotels by 0.5%, Health by 0.3%, Communications, Clothing and footwear by 0.2% and Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.1%.
The Retail Price Index in June 2025 compared to May 2025 was 1.1%.
