'In Front of the Screen' show of Macedonian and Bulgarian artists opens in Sofia

Skopje, 17 December 2024 (MIA) — A group exhibition of Macedonian and Bulgarian artists exploring how the media influences people will open at the Union of Bulgarian Artists in Sofia, Bulgaria, at 6 pm.
Titled "In Front of the Screen," the exhibition focuses on media influence on individuals, society and culture through information, misinformation and disinformation.
On display will be works by 21 artists, done in various techniques, including oil and acrylic on canvas, screenprinting, digital print, sculptures, photographs, video installations, and sound art.
In addition to contemporary Macedonian artists and contemporary Bulgarian artists, the exhibition also features Macedonian artists living and working in Bulgaria, organizers said.
The art show was curated by Ivo Pecov, Gorancho Gjorgievski and Suzana Nikolova.
It was organized as part of Sofia's Macedonian Cultural and Information Center's project aimed at connecting artists from both countries. mr/
