IFESD-14 closes with the signing of Skopje Declaration

Skopje, 30 October 2025 (MIA) – The 14th International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development (IFESD-14) closes Thursday with participants signing the Skopje Declaration, which includes all the commitments and conclusions from the three-day event.

The declaration, after all the participants were invited to submit feedback and suggestions, underscores the need for concrete action toward sustainable energy, which is also part of this year’s theme “From Goals to Action: Powering the Future with Sustainable Energy”.

The 14th International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development, organized in Skopje Tuesday through Thursday by the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources of the Republic of North Macedonia, UNDP North Macedonia, and the five United Nations Regional Commissions, UNECA, UNECE, UNECLAC, UNESCAP and UNESCWA, brought together government representatives, experts, representatives of international organizations, financial institutions and industrial leaders – key figures that shape the energy future of the region and beyond.

Over 500 participants from more than 70 countries discussed the new guidelines of energy transition, innovations and sustainable solutions that define the energy policy of the future.
