Holy Fire appears at Holy Sepulchre church in Jerusalem

Jerusalem, 4 May 2024 (MIA) - The Holy Fire has appeared in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem on Saturday in an annual ceremony as part of the Easter celebrations.

Thousands of Christian worshipers filled Jerusalem’s Old City on Great Saturday to celebrate the Orthodox Holy Fire event and pass the holy flame.

The Holy Fire is then taken from Jerusalem's Old City to the Tel Aviv Airport where foreign dignitaries receive it to pass it to their Orthodox communities.
