Varazdin, 26 January 2025 (MIA) – Macedonia’s handball team was defeated 32-25 (18-14) by France in their final match of the 2025 IHF Men's Handball World Championship main round on Saturday.

As a result, Macedonia finished in fourth place in the main round and will secure a position between 13th and 16th in the final rankings.

Filip Kuzmanovski was the top scorer for the Macedonian team with eight goals, while Marko Mitev scored four. Dika Mem was the highest scorer for the French team with eight goals.

Macedonia finished the World Championship with two wins, two draws, and two losses.
