Gaza, 2 November 2023 (dpa/MIA) - The Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza says that more than 9,000 Palestinians have been killed since war with Israel erupted on October 7.

The death toll rose to 9,061, the ministry said, adding that 3,760 children were among them. It said the number of injured had climbed to more than 32,000.

The figures cannot be independently verified.

Hamas militants from Gaza breached border defences and rampaged across southern Israel, killing more than 1,400 people on October 7, prompting Israeli air and ground attacks.
