Tel Aviv, 26 November 2023 (dpa/MIA) - The armed wing of Hamas, al-Qassam Brigades, confirmed the deaths of four of its commanders in Gaza on Sunday, in fighting before the present truce.

They include Ahmed al-Ghandour, commander of the North Gaza Brigade and member of the Hamas Military Council, the al-Qassam Brigades said on Telegram.

The Israeli army already said 10 days ago that al-Ghandour and Ayman Siyyam, responsible for the rocket attacks, had been killed in the bombardment of underground tunnels in Gaza.

Hamas' statement was the first time it has officially confirmed their deaths and those of two other commanders.
