Gaza, 3 December 2023 (dpa/MIA) – Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours have claimed the lives of 700 people, a spokesman for the Hamas government press office said on Sunday.

There was no independent verification of the statement.

The spokesman said many of the dead were lying under rubble, and that rescue workers were experiencing great difficulty in reaching the injured and taking them to hospital.

On Sunday, a spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) called in Arabic on residents to leave specified areas in the south of the Gaza Strip and to go to designated areas, as IDF aerial bombardments hit targets in both the north and the south following the end of the truce.
