Grubi – Meyer meeting: Ready to make decision allowing consensual approval of constitutional amendments

Skopje, 8 June 2023 (MIA) - The latest political developments in the country, the process of constitutional amendments, the path to the European integration, as well as launch of field works for Corridors 8 and 10d, were the topics of discussion at Thursday’s meeting between the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Political System and Inter-Community Relations, Artan Grubi and the US Embassy Charge d'Affaires, Eric Meyer.

They discussed the political situation in the country, as well as the European integration process and the continuation of opening the negotiating chapters, said Grubi's Office in a press release.

Grubi stressed that the European future of the citizens and our country is more important and that they are ready for any decision that would enable consensual approval of the constitutional amendments.

The discussion about the importance of the implementation of projects such as Corridors 8 and 10d not only for the country, but also for the entire region led to the government to commit to their quick and high-quality implementation, once the legal changes are approved, reads the press release.

Grubi thanked Meyer for the strong support for the country’s path to the EU, as well as for the continuation of the strategic dialogue with the United States.
