Grkovska-Qehaja: Regional cooperation necessary for tackling crisis
Skopje, 5 October 2022 (MIA) – Deputy PM for good governance policies Slavica Grkovska met Wednesday with the newly appointed Ambassador of Kosovo to North Macedonia, Florian Qehaja, discussing the challenges faced by both countries and the possibilities for mutual cooperation.
Grkovska and Qehaja emphasized the financial and energy crisis as an issue faced by all countries in the region, and underscored the necessity of mutual cooperation in the attempts to tackle the crisis.
Deputy PM Grkovska, according to her Office, stated that the creation of efficient anti-corruption policies and the strengthening of integrity and transparency are challenges faced by the entire region, which is why cooperation in this area is very significant.
Grkovska also mentioned the commitment to the digitization process and underscored the importance of this process in making the lives of the citizens easier. She explained the work of the National Council for Digital Transformation of Society, the inclusion of all institutions which worked on the process, and underlined that while the process is not simple, it is crucial if we wish to create an efficient system.
Ambassador Qehaja assessed it is a challenge to lead an Office in charge of good governance policies, considering the fact it includes a wide array of responsibilities aimed at building an efficient and functional system.
Deputy PM Grkovska congratulated Ambassador Qehaja and wished him a successful and fruitful tenure in his new post. ad/ik/
