Skopje, 23 February 2023 (MIA) — Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Good Governance Policies Slavica Grkovska held a working meeting with the Uni-Form Association of Women from the Security Sector, according to an official press release.
At the meeting, they highlighted that the fight against corruption would be greatly helped by the inclusion of the non-governmental sector, which in turn would accellerate the European integration process and improve citizens' lives.
Deputy Prime Minister Grkovska briefed Uni-Form members on ongoing activities and results as well as plans related to the state’s anti-corruption policies, the digital transformation of society, and creating professional, accountable, responsible and efficient institutions, the release says.
This year’s focus is integrating the young population in society, Grkovska told meeting participants. She said their integrity should be protected and their knowledge used in the reform process.
“Given that the fight against corruption on the way to the EU has become the government's top priority and safeguarding democracy is a common duty, the meeting reaffirmed the need to involve all citizens in creating a responsible society to promote the rule of law, to ensure equality before the law, and to consistently implement the principles of good governance,” the release says. mr/
