Athens, 21 February 2024 (MIA) – Protesting Greek farmers on Wednesday blocked all traffic at the Evzoni (Bogorodica) border crossing to North Macedonia, MIA's Athens correspondent reports.

The blockade started at 7pm local time, i.e. 6 pm Macedonian time, and according to MIA's Athens correspondent, the farmers were halting traffic for about 20 minutes, then allowing vehicles to pass so as to avoid border gridlock and delays.

The blockade lasted about an hour and a half. 

After a mass protest in Athens last night, Greek farmers announced they will further decide on their next steps, not ruling out the possibility of continuing activities which include blocking roads and border crossings.
