Greek customs officers' strike shuts down border crossings with Greece

Strumica, 2 April 2024 (MIA) — The country's three border crossings to Greece — Bogorodica to Evzoni, Dojran to Doirani, and Medzhitlija to Niki — have been closed to traffic since 6 am for a 24-hour strike by Greek customs officers.
According to MIA's Strumica correspondent citing border police officials, freight and passenger traffic has come to a complete standstill at both sides of the North Macedonia – Greece border.
A Ministry of Interior press release on Monday evening said that only medical vehicles and vehicles transporting medications would be allowed to enter or exit the country via the Dojran – Doirani border crossing. mr/
