Greece confirms 20 people infected with monkeypox
Athens, 21 July 2022 (MIA) – Greece has confirmed a total of 20 monkeypox infections, seven more than last week, according to MIA’s Athens correspondent citing latest National Public Health Organization figures.
The confirmed infections were in men aged 24 to 59. Eleven of them reported traveling abroad during the incubation period of the disease.
Greek health authorities said some of the patients had already recovered and some were recovering and in a generally good condition.
They also shared European Center for Disease Prevention and Control data saying 10,604 cases of monkeypox have been identified in 36 countries in Europe through July 19.
