Skopje, 15 August 2023 (MIA) – The government has accepted on Tuesday the resignation of the head of the Health Insurance Fund of the Republic of North Macedonia, Faton Ahmeti, the government said in a press release.

The head of the Health Insurance Fund of North Macedonia, Faton Ahmeti, said in a Facebook post early on Tuesday that he is resigning from his post.

“I inform you that, today, I submitted my resignation from the post of Director General of the Health Insurance Fund of the Republic of North Macedonia,” wrote Ahmeti, who comes from DUI’s ranks.

In his Facebook post, Faton Ahmeti said he would focus on party affairs, fully committed to the realization of, he said, “Ali Ahmeti’s vision”.

The government has appointed Asaf Abduramani as acting director of the Health Insurance Fund.
