Gold worth over EUR 600,000 and unreported cash seized at Tabanovce border crossing

Skopje, 8 August 2022 (MIA) – The Customs Administration seized 13,3kg of gold, estimated at over EUR 600,000, at the Tabanovce border crossing with Serbia on Sunday.
Customs officers also seized unreported cash amount of EUR 30,000 during an inspection of a bus entering the Republic of North Macedonia.
The gold was found in a compartment on the roof of the bus en route Porec (Croatia)-Gostivar. It consisted of various gold jewelry and plates.
In addition, the unreported cash was found and seized from one of the drivers, the Customs Administration said in a press release.
