Sofia, 11 June 2022 (MIA) – German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has arrived in Bulgaria, MIA’s Sofia correspondent reports. Scholz’s visit to Sofia starts with a meeting with Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, with Foreign Ministers Teodora Genchovska also in attendance, followed by a meeting with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev. According to Bulgarian media outlets, Scholz has arrived in Bulgaria directly from North Macedonia in an attempt to thaw relations and support efforts in overcoming the issues in Bulgarian – Macedonian relations.
