Skopje, 22 November 2025 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi has congratulated November 22-Albanian Alphabet Day, saying it is one of the most important moments in the history of the Albanian people.

Speaker Gashi says the foundations of a unified alphabet were laid on this day, giving the Albanian language the strength of unity and identity.

"I consider the Albanian language an indispensable element of our societal cohesion. My commitment is clear - the Albanian language should be treated with dignity and respect at every level. For me personally, this day signifies pride, because the alphabet is a legacy that embodies our roots and aspirations," says Gashi.
