Skopje, 8 August 2022 (MIA) – The wildfire near the village of Furka between the municipalities of Dojran and Bogdanci is still active but its intensity has dropped. About 40-50 fire fighters from the Gevgelija unit, employees of the Protection and Rescue Directorate and National Forests public enterprise, and local residents unit have been tackling the flames since early Monday. Twelve other wildfires have been extinguished over the past 24 hours, the Crisis Management Center has said. The fires were located in the municipalities of Strumica, Valandovo, Radovish, Krushevo, Shtip, Jegunovce, Tetovo, Kumanovo, Kichevo and Brvenica.
